A Heart Scorned...

As I listen, observe and read of the many stories and experiences from the lives of people whom I've never met and those whom I've been privileged to know, we all have a story to share about a heart scorned. We may come from varying environments, different lifestyles and a vast array of learning styles however, the pain within is very similar and the comparisons of our lives are equivalent. Nevertheless, we still find it necessary and acceptable to continue to induce and provoke intentional pain in the lives of others without thinking of the consequences or repercussions. We still accept and allow, in many ways, people in our lives who promote division and discord and in some cases people who speak against and defame the name and character of other people because of their inner hurts & pains which haven't been properly dealt with. A scorned heart only scorns the heart of others because they have allowed unresolved issues and unforgiveness to permeate the way they think about themselves. No matter how educated, financially secure or successful a person may appear, if they have been scorned in their lives and have not received proper counsel they will, undoubtedly, pay it forward without any reservations or consideration of the heart of others. Think about your choices, actions, words and reasons of why you want to see someone suffer more than what life experiences and lessons have already dealt. Choose to end a cycle of worthless behavior and foolishness and take responsibility where you are to restore your mind and renew your heart to allow healing and bring to an end negative conduct and intentions.

Be Inspired!

Just wanted to inspire and encourage everyone today facing difficult decisions, financial challenges, relational struggles, health issues and employment setbacks. We have so much within us to sustain and elevate us to a higher way of thinking and a stronger way of being when we are experiencing problems and troubles. Because of what we all have been able to triumph over and have been able to endure throughout our varied lives such as; different forms of discrimination, various elements of abuse, relational destruction, character and personality defamation, false accusations and jealousy, and other negative mannerisms directed towards your life you must know that within you is a person of endurance, value, power and importance.

You are still standing and believing that the best is yet to come. You have proven that you are not giving up the fight but the fight will give in to what you believe to be true because within you is a heart of determination and perseverance.

Be inspired because you are still breathing breath of life which moves you closer to fulfilling vision. You have withstood the bruising, the knocks and falls and despite the pain, you have chosen to be diligent until time and change yields the results of what you are seeking. It doesn't matter the negative intentions of others because you have learned to inspire yourself. Withdraw and trust the stored up strength within that has helped to sustain you for times when you need it most and be confident that God is still in control and things will improve because of purpose predestined in you!

A Superbowl Win...

The best start of the season in their franchise history, the longest undefeated season opening by an NFC team to experiencing their first Superbowl appearance in franchise history and becoming the new 2010 Superbowl Champions. A team who has had to accept transition and change. A team who has seen and has experienced devastation and ruins first hand from hurricane Katrina which whipped through the city of New Orleans with such force and power that it literally wiped out the foundations of homes and demolished lives young and old. No one was excluded from the wreckage and aftermath of destruction that left a city in turmoil, confusion and despair.

However, despite the hardships endured and struggles currently faced the Saints were able to defeat the odds as underdogs and come out on top and win at a game which most people assumed they would lose. A team who had to come together as a unit with one goal in mind which was to win the title and the respect of being called Superbowl champions.

I look at life in the same manner against all odds and despite how others would like to see you fail and not accomplish your intended goals you have to decide to win. You have to decide to do what is necessary for those who rely on your strengths, character and talents. You have to bounce back against all hurt & pain endured while yet focusing on the ultimate goal which is the satisfaction of winning.

During the time of a loss it may be heartbreaking it may even cause distress. Other individuals may not be able to comprehend what exactly you are experiencing internally but it is up to you to rise up above the events of your past or current state of mind and know that you WIN. Even when it seems like your opponent, adversary or rival appears to be gaining a lead you have to readjust, refresh and require through your response and actions a counter approach which aligns you with the necessary components to change your plan so that your best defense can be a good offense.

The Saints teaches their defenders to think offense which is a mindset to score. Become a Superbowl Winner in your situation and beat the odds that are against you and score. Despite the views of others or the injuries you may have endured find the strength within to combat the statistics and non-believers. Be confident until the end result shows the winning outcome and conclusion favorable to accomplishing your desired vision and goals.

A Spiritual Journey...

We all are responsible for the type of content we consume and identify with that is supposed to nurture and help elevate our levels of thinking to dimensions, that if action is applied, will help us towards understanding and accomplishing our goal(s) towards the pursuit of purpose. However, along our journey we are faced with distractions, victories, road blocks, injuries, disorientation, confusion, new revelation and the list can extend far too great for this particular blog. Furthermore, for each individual the journey will vary because we are uniquely made with distinct personalities, characters, ways of behavior, thinking and diverse experiences which have molded our original image into figures of speech with attitudes, postures and voices based off of our hurts, disappointments, expectations, satisfactions or the lack of that we have allowed to either impact our minds and hearts in either a positive or a negative mode.

Our Spiritual Journey's will all yield different declarations however, the ultimate and identifiable resemblance should be the Love of God and the Love of others. Irregardless of the route or direction that you have chosen we should all end at the the Kingdom of God. Nevertheless, most of us never fully reach that place of destination or understanding because along the journey we are not fully equipped to handle the unexpected impediments because instead of Jesus being your center of attention you discover that something within you is surfacing or shall I say influences of some kind or another motivates you to such a degree that it impacts the way you view the reasons why you even began the journey in the first place.

Let me be the the voice to reiterate IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK when it comes to the will of God on your spiritual journey. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW YOU FEEL because without an accurate understanding you are destined to become lost on a journey that was meant to help you discover truths and riches only meant for those who desire eternal wealth and prosperity. My point if you have chosen to walk this journey it will, at some point, become challenging but most importantly is how you face the challenge, the insight achieved and as a result how you will apply knowledge gained.

To be on any journey and not gain valuable information and awareness while trying to reach your intended goal is really determined by the individual and what they are capable of comprehending or retaining. We chose to hear and see what is most pleasurable and infatuating to our current needs and oftentimes, dismiss the significant and essential factors that will keep our minds & hearts healthy along the way. It takes discipline, passion, concentration and determination to remain on a journey which can also be considered as a crossing, a voyage, an excursion, a tour, flying or simply travel. All of the mentioned consists of time which will, undoubtedly, produce many phenomenons which will not, necessarily, all be what you anticipated. However, I believe that through it all God is most pleased with what we do with what we have gained as tools and wisdom that will help us love the way that He desires which reflects the love He has for us.

If your Spiritual Journey requires you to take another path because of the season, road block or conditions along the way be sure that you are properly equipped with the adequate things that will be beneficial to getting you to your destination. Here are a few suggestions to include in your gear; the Word of God which provides some essential nutrients, necessary, to become less disoriented, the Blood of Jesus which protects you against hurt, harm, dangers & disease, the Name of Jesus to be called on for; power, endurance, peace and refuge and the Holy Spirit to counsel & help keep your mind & heart in line with the intended purpose of your journey.

Let's face it not all will make it to their destination and some may take longer than intended because of what they have consumed and digested along the way because they are not willing to get the proper attention or care. They become oblivious and unmindful of God's intentions and will for their lives because they have chosen their own will & desires. They put the blame on others instead of being responsible and accountable for their decisions. Either way it goes God is still in control of the itinerary which, by the way, doesn't change because of your opinions. Realign your mind, heart and soul with the love and will of God as you pursue your purpose on your Spiritual Journey.

Becoming Healthier!

What does becoming healthy mean to you? Is it more physical then mental? Is more emotional than spiritual? Is it more psychological or relational? In my opinion, I would say to truly become healthier individuals it would have to include a good positive balance of all the above. One without the other minimizes the powerful influence and significance each one imparts within us.

Last year as a plan of action to become healthier I wrote my first book entitled,"The heart of who I am", as a method to become healthier psychologically and emotionally. By bringing to surface experiences in my life which took place throughout my growth and development as a youth into adulthood that affected the heart of who I was, which in many ways was extremely therapeutic for me. Bringing to surface memories, unresolved hurts, distress and in some cases unforgivness allowed me to begin the process of becoming a healthier person emotionally.

What gain or success is it to become an external physical illustration of health however, internally your mind and heart is contaminated from injuries and wombs which never received the proper attention or resolve to yield and promote healthy healing or closure? They are all related and one without the other being healthy doesn't provide the adequate completeness needed to being as healthy as one desires and oftentimes thinks they are.

It is vital to be balanced in all aspects of becoming, in shape, healthy individuals for proper growth, maturity, understanding and establishing and maintaining strong relationships. Different circumstances, health conditions, experiences, inner dialogues and what you entertain your mind with on a regular basis affects the outcome of how you feel about yourself and your impressions of others. If your inner man is unconstructive & negative instead of positive then all the hard work that you put into making your outer image attractive is simply futile.

You must discover and acknowledge what your body type is deficient in and then be willing to absorb and process the proper nourishing elements necessary for your condition and or make-up. You have to be committed to the procedures necessary for your development and understand that the journey may not be easy and there may be some setbacks and you may fall short every now and then but you have a made-up, determined mind to achieve your fitness goals.

One valuable tool and resource I have used in becoming a healthier person is the inspiring, powerful, nutritious, loving and healthy Word of God. First having a relationship with Christ has taught me valuable lessons about myself that no man could ever been able to help me understand or recognize. Jesus Christ helps you to learn to understand and love yourself which is an inner healing that can't be acquired or obtained from anyone or anything else. The word of God provides strength, insight, correction and knowledge on how to become a healthier balanced person because God created you and purposed for you from the beginning to be great and walk in the fullness of who you were predestined to become. Anything outside of what God intended is unhealthy and will not produce the intended results of your hard labor.

So I encourage you to become healthy in all aspects of your life. Abandon and discard unhealthy things in and around your life that's spoiled and causes disfigurement, stoutness, undernourishment, distractions and discouragement and replenish your shelves with beneficial and nutritious essentials that will help you achieve your goals of Becoming Healthy!

Just A Prayer Away

So many people are facing various daily challenges as we try to maintain a positive attitude to be able to cope with our tomorrows. The economic conditions in which we are living has so greatly impacted many households, families, individuals, businesses and organizations to the magnitude that they are uncertain of how they will be able to provide, how long will they be able to sustain, what they are going to do with the limited resources they are now presented and how will they manage once their funds have been depleted.

The realization is that many people are struggling to remain positive, upbeat and optimistic about the conditions of their financial, mental, emotional and social status that many people are giving up hope and are not able to see past their problems. There are times many people just want to give up and give in because nothing that they have tried to do seems to yield the resources they so desperately need to take care of their responsibilities but I am here to share some encouraging news today! God is just a prayer away and all you have to do is call on Him and He will be your refuge, He will rescue your emotions and if you let Him bring peace to the storms of life which we are currently facing.

God is just a prayer away and if you are a person that never believed in the power of prayer, I challenge you to trust Him to meet the needs which you may have. God is so much more than just a higher power He is the Source of our strength, the Breath of life we breath, the Provider of our every need, the Healer of our hurts, distresses and pain and the God who is in control of all that has been, will be and is to come!

God is just a prayer away and all you have to do is call out His name and know that He hears your heart and will be the love to wipe away your tears, He will be the love to wrap around your loneliness, He will be the love to fill the uncertain void because He has always been in control and has the world in the palm of His hands.

A relationship with Jesus will open your eyes of understanding and receiving to believe the promises He has for you. Don't give up hope or faith but trust the One who is hope and faith and know that God is Just a prayer away.

Business As Usual

As I meditated on things I've either seen, heard and or experienced I was compelled to share my views and opinions on the topic of Business As Usual.

I ask the question, why do we do business as usual if what we have been doing isn't yielding the results we anticipated or expected, why do we do business as usual if what we are doing doesn't have any impact on our lives or the lives of others, why do business as usual if it isn't influencing a mindset, lifestyle, economic or social change? I ask the question, again, Why do business as usual if it isn't contributing to your pursuit of purpose, vision or goals?

As I contemplated on these questions permeating my thoughts I began to wonder if, perhaps, many of the answers to these questions lies within the fact that many people don't see themselves as leaders, or maybe people haven't come into the revelation of who they really are to even awaken the dormant answers to stimulate change which could potentially change the way the entire world functions. Perhaps, a person does understand their importance however, they are frozen with fear and lack the required self-confidence or development to operate in the area where change is most needed.

I believe in other cases we continue in our ways of actions and thinking because of learned behaviors, religious thinking, one sided philosophies and distorted attitudeds from the things we have experienced which if not properly understood could cause one to become inflexible and incapable of perceiving the need and importance that some things shouldn't be business as usual.

I know you have heard the cliche, "If it ain't broke don't fix it", however, I believe that even if it's not broken their is potential to advance, improve, mature, grow and elevate something into a position to be used in a greater magnitude throughout the course of time. However, using good judgement will help eliminate unnecessary efforts of change if not needed. I'm only trying to motivate and challenge people to increase our levels of affectiveness in areas of our lives which could prospectively influence you to think outside the box of formality and customs if it isn't changing the core or heart of the matter resulting in transformed and modified life-style behaviors.

Oftentimes we spend so much time depositing information and wisdom into the lives of others which we believe to be accurate and precise however, when we have effectively communicated our perspective and knowledge many times you experience some level of disappointment because you do not see evident changes but people doing business as usual.

If something needs repairing, repair it; if something needs to be revised, revise it; if something needs adjusting, adjust it; If something needs to be removed, remove it; if something needs to be changed, change it; if something needs to be done differently, make it different; if something needs to be increased, increase it; if something needs to be decreased, decrease it; If business as usual is not effectively stimulating positive results, conditions, actions, relationships, maturity or growth don't neglect the necessary need to find solutions and answers to begin walking in a lifestyle and mindset of one who will no longer be content with business as usual.
